Custom isn’t a mix. It takes you to the group of customs - which, I don’t recall, might not include the default Femshep - you cant actually tweak your imported face. The Mass Effect subforums have bitched about this endlessly since ME2 was released
that’s a mighty coincidence that the custom preset’s facial features are identical to my shep’s then
i figured it was glitching, and that was the reason for the mix
i swear to fuck i have tweaked my custom shep’s face before! but idk maybe i am hallucinating

Easy to check: Start a new game, pick a custom Femshep, and if what comes up looks like what you’re trying to tweak then I’m remembering correctly that it doesn’t work, heh.
