Do I need to have the conversation again where I show that Isabela is Mediterranean and that her skin tone is very second nature to her facial features which are in fact nowhere near ‘white’? And that in different shading and lighting her skin may not be as ‘dusky’ as some people prefer it, but that this does not, in fact, make her anything less than an ethnic goddess?

this is the brightest possible lighting on the in-game engine, and isabela’s skin is still noticeably brown, but just in weird lighting. look at the shadowed parts of the cover art; her skin is still lighter in shadow than in the highlights of the above-pictured model.

there is no lighting in the entire world that would turn isabela that shade of lily white.

i have mediterranean features (that isabela really doesn’t share just fyi), as my family is calabrese, but i am still white and still have white skin. hell, i’m pale, but my skin is still darker than hers in this cover art.

so no, this is white-washing, and don’t pretend it’s not
